TIDEWATER TESTIMONIALS
My goodness, what a journey! It has been almost two years since my shoulder issues began. In a year and a half with two Doctors in the same practice and three physical therapists (each approaching the problems differently), I went from impingement to a frozen shoulder, tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis, small tear, and herniated disk. I was told my inability to improve was due to having MS, it would get no better and I should see pain management. With virtually no ROM left and in constant pain, I went to see Dr. Armburster, during that first visit he diagnosed my issues and said, “I want you to see another Physical Therapist, just one more if these guys can’t fix your shoulder, no one can.” I was so hesitant, once bitten twice shy. He said, “They are the shoulder whisperers.”
I cannot express the fear and anxiety I had prior to our first session. Right away Frank Fedorczyk started with the ball, towel, and pulleys. All I could think was, “oh yea, this is going to work; he wants me to do all this with all this pain, here I go again.” His, logical common-sense approach to my exercise put me at ease. Frank slowly but surely gained my trust, no easy feat. He told me to give him feedback and he listened to everything I said, the feedback was good and oh boy did I give him feedback. Frank listened to everything I said, the good, the bad, and the embarrassing, and proceeded accordingly. Frank knew before I even said anything how far he could manipulate my shoulder. If he had a nickel for every time I said “do you feel that” or “can you hear that” he would be rich. Okay, maybe only two bucks, enough for a bottle of coke.
We just started to make progress when Frank dropped the bomb, “I’m moving.” Every visit I expected him to say next week would be his last.
During your absence, I discovered I was not a fit with the other therapists I didn’t want to take a step back so the pool work began using the noodles, swimmies, and weight resistance from my husband Frank. He spent more time in the pool this past summer than during the entire time we have had the pool. In the house, I used the ball, pulleys, and PVC pipe. I couldn’t wait for Frank Fedorczyk to see the progress.
I am amazed and proud of how far I have come. You are the shoulder whisperer! It’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint. My proudest accomplishment to date; I can shave my armpit with my arm straight in the air! With Frank’s help and expertise, I have been given back some quality of my life. I can take care of my personal hygiene, do my hair and dress myself (I’m not giving up until I can do the bra behind my back. I did it before and my goal is to do it again). It’s funny how we take such things for granted.
Frank your bedside manner was excellent I enjoyed talking about everything from vacuums to movies, sports, construction, pizza, politics, pets, DIY projects, airport security, and families, yours and mine. This helped me to get through the sessions that in all honesty were a lot of work, and were quite painful. Frank pushed when I could tolerate it and eased up when I couldn’t, such a fine line. It was great to see the progress I made little by little, week by week. I can’t thank Frank enough for all you have done for me.

My name is Wanda O. and I met Frank at a very difficult time in my life. Thank God for that. I had left Rotator Cuff Surgery back in November. I was told that six weeks of recovery and six weeks of Physical Therapy was the road map to a full recovery. Well, it didn’t happen that way. My left shoulder was frozen and my hand was swollen and shiny. Even in my right arm and leg I was feeling tingling, numbness, and shaking. I was totally confused and in constant excruciating pain. Pain killers actually didn’t help much, not to mention the side effects. When I started my Physical Therapy and met Frank things changed immediately after evaluating me, he concluded that I had “Complex Regional Pain Syndrome”. Unfortunately, He was right. Later I learned that it happens just to a few after that kind of procedure. I am so grateful to Frank. Since day one he had the right approach to help me heal. His level of professionalism, experience and good heart are unmatched. If not for him, I wouldn’t have been able to get out of that unexpected and very painful experience. Today he is not only my Physical Therapist, he is my friend. I strongly recommend him to anyone needing compassionate and very professional Physical Therapy Care.
